Austro-Hungarian Empire: Commemorative 
Medal for the Campaigns that were conducted 
prior to 1873 (or War Medal 1873). 
Despite the initial intention the medal was later 
issued for the campaigns in Bosnia and 
Herzegovina (1878-1880 and 1882) & the China 
expedition (Boxer Rebellion) in 1900-1901.
Inscribed : "2 December 1873"
Kaiser Franz Joseph's reign. 
Issued, early example, made of bronze from 
captured enemy cannons.
