The Ottoman XV Army Corps was formed in 1915.
During WW1 the XV Corps participated initially in

the Russian Army (Brusilov's Offensive, Galicia).
During the operations on the Eastern Front, the

In early 1917 the XV Coprs was redeployed to
Palestine and later (1918) to Syria, Anatolia and
Caucasus.
German General Erich von Falkenhayn claimed
in his memoirs, regarding the performance of
the XV Corps on the Eastern Front, that the
Turks were "an uncommonly valuable asset to
the Southern Army".
