the Imperial Crown of Austria and the Royal Crown 
of Hungary.
Inscribed "Indivisibiliter et Inseparabiliter" (latin: 
Indivisible and inseparable)
Marked GES. GES (Copyright protected) on the 
reverse. 
The "Austro-Hungarian Silver Cross" was established 
in 1916 as a humanitarian organization focused on 
providing care for the wounded reservists.
This example was issued during the reign of Kaiser 
Karl and it is quite rare due to the fact that it remained 
in use for a very short period (Nov. 1916 - Nov. 1918).
