Corps Marschall was a corps level command
of the German Army in WW1. It was formed
from various Austro-Hungarian infantry
divisions on 7 Jul. 1915 and was named after
its commanding officer General of the Cavalry
Wolf Rudolf Freiherr (Baron) Marschall von
Altengottern. Korps Marschall fought in the
Bukovina region of Galicia on the Eastern
Front, in support of Army Group Pflanzer-
Baltin. It was renamed to Guards Reserve
Corps on 18 Apr. 1916.
