with the portrait of Kaiser Franz Joseph and the
motto "Viribus Unitis" (Power in Unity).

Maker marked by Gurschner in Vienna.
The K.u.K. Balkan Troops (or Infantry of Bosnia-
Herzegovina) were consisted of 4 Infantry
Regiments and 1 Field Rifle Battalion.
They had their own distinctive uniforms and were
given their own numbering sequence within the
KuK Army.
The men were of Serbian, Bosnian and after 1916
of Albanian origin.
About 35% of them were Muslims.
