Austro-Hungarian Empire : "Fortitudini" (Bravery) 
Medal - Large Gold, 1st Class.
Kaiser Karl issue (1917-1918).
In bronze gilt - the gold coating unfortunately is 
faded. 
The gold Fortitudini was bestowed in bronze - gilt 
(due to shortages of gold because of the ongoing 
war). 
Officers were also eligible for the award (the gold 
Tapferkeit of Kaiser Franz Joseph was issued 
only to NCOs).
On the rarest type of ring.
An extremely scarce medal which was issued 
for less than 2 years, in its rarest version!
