96th Infantry Brigade, 21st and 56th Mountain 
Brigades) under the command of Lt Field 
Marshal Franz Seraphin Edler von Steinhart 
fought on the Italian Front assigned with the 
defense of the Dolomites (a section of the 
Southern Alps).
