AUSTRIA: WW1 Commemorative Medal for the 
Defense of Tirol.

"Das Land Tirol, den Verteidigern des Vaterlandes" 
(The province of Tirol, to the defenders of the 
Fatherland). 
The medal was instituted in 1928 by the Provincial 
Government of Tirol and was awarded to WW1 
Veterans, citizens of Tirol and also to members of 
the Armed Forces who served in Tirol during the 
Great War. 
Approximately a total of 120.000 medals were 
awarded.
