Belgium WWI Military Cross 1st Class Boxed by Wolfers

Belgium: Military Cross 1st Class of the WW1 
era, with the lion rampant on the obverse and 
King Albert's Royal Cypher on the reverse.
In its luxurious box of issue, with the Royal 
Crown and the Royal Cipher "A" (for King 
Albert) on the lid, by the House of Wolfers in 
Brussels.
The Military Cross was established in 1885, 
in 2 Classes.
The 1st Class, like this example, was awarded 
to Officers for 25 years of continuous military 
service. 
Extremely rare as the Belgian Army always 
was/is by definition small.
