The Committee was founded in order to ease the
hardship by providing help, food and relief to the
starving and suffering Belgian citizens under
German occupation (a large territorial part of
Belgium had been occupied by the Germans
during WW1).
This is the rare Silver Class (3rd Class) of the
medal in silvered bronze.
