Belgium: WW2 Medal for the War Volunteers of 
the Belgian Armed Forces, 1940 1945. 
This is the rare initial type, dated 1940 - 1945 on 
the reverse and featuring a soldier with
background the letter "V" for "Victory" on the
obverse.
The Medal was instituted in 1945 and was 
awarded to those who served during WW2.
Prerequisite for the award was service "For the 
Duration of the War"
Only 3500 medals were awarded in total.
