Belgium: WW2 Cross of Political Prisoners.
With 6 stars on the ribbon. Each star denotes
6 month of internment.
The Cross was instituted in 1947.
It was awarded to Belgian citizens that were
arrested and interned by the Germans as
political prisoners during WW2.
The Cross was also awarded posthumously.
In such cases, where the intended recipient
had not survived detention, the right to wear
the Cross was passed either to the widow, or
to the mother or the father of the deceased.
