The clasp was awarded to WW2 veterans who 
received their medals after 1952 (year of the
introduction of the undated version of the 
Volunteer Medal).
The medal is signed by Demart & Degreef.
This is the updated type of the medal that was 
instituted in 1952 and was awarded to those 
who served during WW2 and also to those 
who participated in the Korean War.
