Belgium: WW2 stickpin badge of the Belgian
Armed Partisans (PA) Resistance Group
during the German occupation of Belgium.
The Armed Partisans (Partisans Armés, or PA)
was a resistance group affiliated to the Belgian
Communist Party. The group was undermined
in 1943 and as a result, almost its entire
leadership team was arrested by German
forces.
Following the Liberation of Belgium in Sep.
1944, the group was renamed to "Belgian Army
of Partisans".
In total 13.246 people are recognized as having
been members of the PA at some point during
the war, while 1.200 of them were killed and a
further 3.000 were arrested and sent to prison
camps.
A rare WW2 resistance badge given the small
size of the PA group.
