Britain Queen's South Africa Medal QSM with 7 Clasps ( South Africa 1901, Belfast, Diamond Hill, Johannesburg, Driefontein, Paardeberg, Relief of Kimberley) to Driver of the ASC

Great Britain: Queen's South Africa Medal (QSM), 
for the Boer War, with 7 clasps: "Belfast", "South 
Africa 1901",  "Diamond Hill", "Relief of Kimberley",
"Driefontein", "Paardeberg" and "Johannesburg".

The Queen's South Africa Medal was instituted 
by Queen Victoria in 1900 and was awarded to 
military personnel, civilian officials and war 
correspondents who served in South Africa 
during the Second Boer War from 11 Oct. 1899 to 
31 May 1902.
The clasps:
- The "South Africa 1901" clasp was awarded to 
those who served in South Africa between 01 Jan. 
and 31 Dec. 1901 and who were not eligible for 
the King's South Africa Medal.
- The "Belfast" clasp was awarded to troops 
located east of a north-south line drawn through 
Wonderfontein (excluded), west of a north-south 
line drawn through Dalmanutha Station and north 
of an east-west line drawn through Carolina in the 
South African Republic, on 26-27 Aug. 1900.
- The "Diamond Hill" clasp was awarded to 
troops located east of a north-south line drawn 
through Silverton Siding and north of an east-
west line drawn through Vlakfontein in the South 
African Republic, on 11-12 Jun. 1900.
- The "Johannesburg" clasp was awarded to 
troops located north of an east-west line drawn 
through Klip River Station (excluded) and east 
of a north-south line drawn through Krugersdorp 
Station (included) in the South African Republic, 
on 29 May 1900.
- The "Driefontein" clasp was awarded to men of 
the Army Headquarters, and Lt General John 
French's column, that advanced from Poplar 
Grove in the Orange Free State on 10 Mar. 1900.
- The "Paardeberg" clasp was awarded to 
troops located within 7.000 yards of General Piet 
Cronje's final laager in the Orange Free State, 
and within 7.000 yards of Kudusrand Drift during 
the period 17–26 Feb. 1900.
- The "Relief of Kimberley" clasp was awarded to 
troops in the relief column under Lt General 
French who marched from Klipdrift, and 6th 
Division troops under Lt General Kelly-Kenny who 
were within 7.000 yards of Klipdrif, on 15 Feb. 
1900.
An amazing medal with a rare combination of
clasps - needless to add that 7 clasps on a QSA 
medal are not often seen.
