GREAT BRITAIN: Original WW1 cap badge of the 
Prince of Wales’s North Staffordshire Regiment. 
Rare early war variant without the usual “North 
Stafford” inscription. 
A sought-after piece of British Army insignia 
from the Great War.
The Regiment was officially formed in 1881. 
The 1st Battalion of the  Regiment took part in 
operations in the 2nd Sudanese War under 
Lord Kitchener, while the 2nd Reg. took part in 
the 2nd Boer War.
During WW1 Battalions of the Regiment served 
on the Western Front, at Gallipoli, in the Middle 
East, and India.
