In its box of issue by the Royal Mint.
Signed P.M. on the obverse and H.P. on the
reverse.
The medal was established in 1945 and had
been awarded for meritorious services by non
British civilians (usually from other Allied
Countries) in furtherance of the interests of
the British Commonwealth in the Allied
cause, during WW2.
ONLY 2539 such medals were ever awarded
- extremely scarce.
