Kingdom of Bulgaria: Soldier's Cross of the Royal
Order for Bravery, IV Class.
The Order for Bravery was instituted in 1880 (founded
in 1879) to reward distinguished acts of bravery (in
the War of Liberation (1877-1878) and future conflicts)
in the face of the enemy.
The soldier's crosses were issued to enlisted men and
NCOs.
This is the 1915 version of the medal that was awarded
during WW1 and until the end of WW2.
Early example of the WW1 era, on trifold ribbon for
Bulgarian and Austro-Hungarian recipients.
