Kingdom of Cambodia  - French Protectorate 
(Indochina): 
Royal Order of Sahametrei, Knight's Star.
The Order was instituted in 3  classes in 1948 and 
was amended to five 5 classes in 1950.
It was awarded for "special friendship to the King 
and Cambodian people", usually to foreign 
diplomats. Awards to Cambodians have also been 
recorded. 
This is an early, French made example, marked by 
Artus Bertrand of Paris, in its box of issue.
