Czechoslovakia: WW1 Victory Interallied Medal
with 4 clasps (Argonny, Alsace, CD, 21).
(Laslo classification: Czech Unofficial type 1 and
Belgian Unofficial type 1).
This is the rarest type of the Czech (and Belgian)
Victory medal.
Based on the Belgian official Victory Medal by
DuBois, but struck by Laisek.
With Laisek's hallmark (LA) below the center
wreath on the reverse side and inside of the
wreath held by the figure of Victory on obverse.
The clasps:
-Argonny (Argonne) for participation in the Meuse-
Argonne Offensive (Battle of the Argonne Forest),
26 Sep.-11 Nov. 1918.
-Alsace: for participation in the Battle of Alsace
(Battle of Mulhouse), 7-10 & 14-26 Aug. 1914.
-CD: Short for Česká Družina (Czech Troops) for
the personnel of Czech origin.
-21: For the 21st Infantry Regiment, one of three
regiments formed by the Provisional Government
in Paris for service on the Western Front (the other
two being the 22nd and 23rd).
A scarce medal.
