20th Anniversary Celebrations of the Volunteers 
of the 3rd Freedom Regiment (Revolution - War 
for the Independence of Czechoslovakia 1918 - 
1919).

On the obverse: "For the Republican Army and 
Democracy" - "Czechoslovak Volunteers 1918-
1919".
On the reverse: "Mass Rally of the 1918-1919 
Volunteers for the Anniversary Celebrations of 
the former 3rd Freedom Regiment - Brno, 1938"
The medal was awarded in 1938 to the Veterans 
of the 3rd Freedom Regiment who participated 
in the Mass Rally and the Celebrations for the 
20th Anniversary of the War for Independence. 
The mass rally of former volunteers in Brno, in 
1938, was held both as moral booster of the 
Czech population and also as an attempt to 
deter the aggression of NAZI Germany which 
was threatening Czechoslovakia with invasion 
and dismemberment.
The medal is rare.
