In its box of issue by A. Michelsen in 
Copenhagen.
The medal was instituted by the Danish Red 
Cross and was approved by King Christian X 
in 1946, following the end of WW2. 
It was awarded for significant effort in the 
relief of the Danish people from the effects 
of the German occupation during the War.
The medal is scarce, especially boxed.
