of Turenne.
Rare early type of the badge of the 1960s.
Maker marked Drago, Paris.
The Regiment was formed in 1587, initially as a
company of men-at-arms.
Over the next 400 years the Regiment took part
in all the major conflicts France got involved in
(Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, Conquest
of Algeria, Italian Campaign, War of 1870, WW1
and WW2).
It was disbanded in 1999.
