FRANCE: Verdun WW1 Commemorative Medal 
with "Verdun" Clasp. 
This is the signed 2nd type of the "Augier" version 
of the medal, with ball suspender.
On the reverse: The motto "ON NE PASSE PAS" 
(They will not pass). 
The Verdun medals were unofficial awards, by the  
municipality of Verdun, to military personnel who 
participated in the  February 1916 battle of the 
Verdun fort.
