FRANCE: WW2 Commemorative Medal for the 
French troops that took part in the defencive 
operations in Belgium, following the German 
invasion in 1940 (Belgian Campaign). 
These forces were mainly Units of the French 
1st, 7th and 9th Armies. 
The Allied forces were soon driven back from 
Belgium by the German Army Group B of the 
Wehrmacht  (consisted of the 26 Infantry and 
3 Panzer Divisions).
One of the rarest French WW2 medals.
