The Clandestine Cross was instituted in
1960, in 2 classes (bronze and silver) to be
awarded to the still alive at the time
members of the French Resistance (Maquis),
holders of the official respective card issued
by the ONAC (National Office of Former
Combatants) as well as to those who worked
following the Liberation within the structure
of the National Congresses to promote the
significance and the ideal of the Resistance
during WW2.
The medal is rarely seen.
