France WWII National Resistance Medal 1940 1945 2nd Type

FRANCE: WW2 National Resistance Medal for 
the members of the Resistance movement 
during the German occupation of France.  
Inscribed: "Patria non Immemor" (The 
Homeland does not Forget).
This is the scarce 2nd type of the medal.
This version had been produced during the 
war time, it is unmarked and it is characterized 
by the distinctive mint flaw of the gap at the 
top of the Cross of Lorraine.
The medal was established in 1943 and 
stopped being awarded in 1947 (except for 
cases of deportees and interned to whom the 
medal could be awarded posthumously). In all 
only around 48.000 medals were awarded.
