the “London Type”, issued by the Free French 
Government in exile under General de Gaulle. 
This example features 2 bronze stars, indicating 
citations at the regimental or brigade level. 
Unlike other types, the reverse is undated, a 
unique trait of the London-issued crosses. 
A rare and historically significant piece of Free 
France WWII memorabilia.
