medal for the Waterloo Battle in 1815.
Initial version of the medal signed W. Wyon

Attributed to:
SOLDAT CONRAD HURLEMANN LANDWEHR
BAT. SALZGITTER.
(Soldier Conrad Hurlemann, Territorial Army,
Salzgitter Battalion).
Silver medal with its original iron suspender

Wars and sealed the fate of the French Emperor
Napoleon Bonaparte.
The medal was instituted by George, the Prince
Regent in December 1817, and was awarded to
every soldier who was present as member of

The Hanoverian troops took part in the Battles
of Quatre Bras and Waterloo, under General
Charles Alten.
Only 23.000 medals were issued.
