Imperial Germany - Kingdom of Saxony: Royal
Saxon Order of Albrecht (Albert the Bold),
Knight's Cross 2nd Class with Swords - 2nd type
(1910-1918).
The Order was established in 1850 and after 1866,
following the Austro-Prussian War (German Civil
War), it was awarded to civilian and military
personnel for Merit in War.
The Cross is maker marked "S": Scharfenberg,
Dresden.
This is the 2nd type that was awarded during
WW1 (1910 - 1918).
The Order was discontinued after the end of WW1,
in 1918.
A fine example on original trifold ribbon as it had
been awarded to an Austrian.
