From left to right:
- WW1 Prussian Iron Cross 2nd Class EK2 - maker
marked KO on the ring (Maker KO: Koenigliches
Muenzamt Ordens - Imperial Mint for Orders in
Berlin)
- Kingdom of Baden: Order of the Zahringen Lion,
Merit Cross.
The Order of the Zahringen Lion was instituted
in 1809 by Grand Duke Karl Friedrich, while the
Cross of Merit was instituted in 1889 by Grand
Duke Friedrich I.
The Cross was awarded "in Recognition of
Outstanding Merit" and until its suppression
after the end of WW1 in 1918 only 3.237 awards
were recorded.
