Imperial Germany- Hanseatic City of Bremen:
WW1 Hanseatic Cross of Bremen 1914 - 1918.
The Cross was instituted in 1915 and only
around 20.000 medals were awarded.
Such crosses were issued from the 3 German
cities of Hamburg, Bremen and Lubeck.
The most famous recipient of all 3 Hanseatic
Crosses was the Red Baron (Manfred von
Richthofen), the German fighter pilot with
the greatest number of aerial victories
during WW1.
The Cross of Bremen is quite rare.
