patriotic postcard, with Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig 
of Hesse, Grand Duchess Eleonora and their kids.
Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig is in uniform: collar 
rank insignia of a General, the Iron Cross 1st 
Class on his chest and holding his sword. 
The postcard is dated 25 Nov. 1915 and it had 
been circulated, during a fund raising event on 
behalf of the Red Cross that took palace in 
Hesse-Darmstadt.
