postcard depicting the castle of Bamberg. 
Dated and postmarked, July 1919, by the 45th 
Infantry Regiment, Reischswehr - a Bavarian Unit.
Handwritten message from an NCO (Lance 
Corporal) to his parents, sent during  a time of 
brief respite or leave.
The unit, part of the 100.000 men Reichswehr of 
the Weimar Republic, was at the time involved in 
anti-communism operations.
