Medal for military merit, on trifold war time ribbon, 
for Austrian recipients.
The medal was instituted in 1905. 
It was awarded to military personnel below the 
rank of Staff Sergeant and to civil personnel of 
similar rank for meritorious service in war and 
peace time. 
It was discontinued in 1918.
A total of 90400 medals were awarded.
