Imperial Germany - Schaumburg Lippe:
WW1 Cross of Loyal Service.
In its scarce box of issue.
Instituted in 1914 by Adolf II. Awarded to soldiers
of Hussar Regiments No.14 and No.7 and Jäger
Battalion No.7 during World War I.
The award was based on the respective Cross that
was issued during the Franco - Prussian War of
1870 - 1871, by Prince Adolph Georg.
The medal is very rare not only because it was
awarded to just 3 Regiments but also because the
population of the Principality of Schaumburg-
Lippe, during WW1, was around 50.000 people.
