HUNGARY: Military Merit Medal "Signum Laudis"
with Crown, Bronze Class.
Late example, with fixed crown.
The medal was awarded for military merit to
Officers.
The award was instituted in 1922, following the
separation of Hungary from the Austro-Hungarian
Empire, and was awarded, mainly during WW2, to
Hungarians and also to the other Axis troops.
On original war time ribbon.
A hard to find medal.
Note that the cross on the top of the crown is not
damaged.
The cross of the crown of Hungary is not vertical
and due to this fact the crosses on the crowns of
the Hungarian medals are not vertical either.
