Italy WWI 1a Armata Medal 1st Army 1914 1918

ITALY: WW1 Commemorative Medal of the 1st 
Army (1a - Prima  Armata). 
The medal was designed in 1918 by Leonardo 
Bistolfia and was awarded to the veterans of 
the Italian 1st Army, in 1924. 
The 1st Army under Lt. General Guglielmo 
Pecori Giraldi, operated against the Austro-
Hungarian forces and participated in the 
battles of the mountains of Trentino (battles 
of Caporeto, Piave, Vittorio Veneto).
