Service in the Royal Armed Forces. 
Issued to NCOs and other ranks.
Silver example, marked "800" between the arms 
of the Cross.
The Cross was Instituted in this form in 1900 and 
remained in use until 1944. 
In 1953 it was replaced by the respective Cross 
of the Italian Republic.
