ITALY: WW2 miniature Commemorative medal for 
the period 1940 - 1943.
With 4 bronze stars (maximum possible number 
for this medal) that denote 4 years of service as 
an NCO. 
This is the 1st type of the medal, instituted in 
1959 and designed by Bomisa & Aielli. 
It was awarded to the Italian troops who fought 
against the Allies until the capitulation of Italy 
and the fall of the Fascist Regime.
