ITALY: WW2 Cross of Military Valor. 
The medal was instituted in 1941 to be awarded 
for military value.
With the inscription "AL VALORE MILITARE" .
Maker marked with the "Crowned Z" by the 
Italian Royal Mint (Regia Zecca)
This version of the Cross was produced in 
1946, prior to the official institution of the 
design for the Cross of Military Value by the 
Italian Republic, in 1949. 
Its design was based on the respective Cross 
of the Monarchy era.
The Cross is scarce.
