Valor Militare". 
With Gladius Sword - "FERT" citation (FERT, 
Fides Est Regni Tutela (Latin: "Faith is the 
protector of [our] Kingdom"): the motto of the 
Royal house of Savoy-Sardinia and Italy). 
In its box of issue by Cravanzola in Rome.
This form of the medal was instituted 
in 1941, it was awarded for military value and 
remained in use until 1942.
Given that it was only awarded for 1 year it is 
scarce.
