ITALY: WW2 Pale Blue Cross of Merit of the ONB. 
RARE, early silver version marked 800. 
The Opera Nazionale Balilla (ONB) was an Italian 
Fascist Youth Organization functioning, as an 
addition to school education, between 1926 and 
1937 (the year it was absorbed into the Gioventù 
Italiana del Littorio, GIL, a youth section of the 
National Fascist Party - the Italian equivalent to 
The Hitler's Youth).
The Cross was established in 1933 and was 
awarded in this form until 1937 when it was 
substituted with the GIL's respective one.
This is the rare Pale Blue Cross (38mm x 38mm) 
for Girls (Giovane Italiane) of age 8 - 14.
