ITALY: Officer's Cross in the Order of the Italian 
Crown, with the respective miniature and lapel pin. 
In its box of issue, by G. Tarantino, Palermo. 
With the royal cypher of King Vittorio Emanuele III 
on the lid of the box. 
The Order was instituted in 1868 by King Vittorio 
Emanuele and was awarded for both civilian 
and military merit until the establishment of 
the Republic, at the end of WW2, when it was 
discontinued.350
