State): Medal for the Imperial Visit of Emperor
Pu Yi of Manchukuo to Japan, in 1935.

Marked M1000 on the ring.
Inscribed on the obverse: "One in Virtue and in
Spirit" (referring to the unification of Japan and
Manchukuo).
Inscribed on the reverse: "Kang Teh 2nd Year,
Manchukuo Empire, Emperor’s visit to Japan
Commemorative Medal, 4th Month, 6th Day"
The medal was instituted in 1935 to mark the visit
of Emperor Pu Yi of Manchukuo to Japan in April
1935.
Japan, following the invasion and occupation of
Manchuria, in 1931, established the "Independent
State of Manchukuo".
In 1934, Henry Pu Yi, last of the Manchu Dynasty
of China, was crowned by Japan as Emperor of
Manchukuo.
Manchuria was again reincorporated into China
following its liberation by the Soviet Red Army
and by the Chinese People's Liberation Army in
1945.
The medal is very rare.
