Arms of the Free City of Danzig (today Gdansk).
The Free City of Danzig was a city-state under 
the protection of the League of Nations (1920-
1939), consisting of the Baltic Sea port of Danzig 
and nearly 200 other small nearby localities. 
Following the German invasion of Poland (1939), 
the Nazis abolished the Free City status and 
incorporated the area into the Reichsgau of 
Danzig-West Prussia. 
A scarce badge.
