POLAND: WW1 Wielkopolski Uprising Cross 1918-
1919. 
The medal was established in 1957 by the PRL 
(People's Republic of Poland) to be awarded to the 
participants, military or civil, of the Wielkopolski 
Uprisings in the Greater Poland against the 
German rule. 
The uprising had a significant effect on the Treaty 
of Versailles, which granted the reconstituted 2nd 
Polish Republic the area won by the Polish 
insurrectionists.
