Poland: WW2 Medal for the Members of the
Polish Resistance in France.
After the capitulation of Poland in 1939 many
Polish fled to France where they continued
fighting against the Germans.
After the fall of France some Polish remained
in the country and joined the Resistance, while
others escaped to Great Britain and continued
the war in the Free Polish Units.
A rare medal as only a number of approximately
2000 medals for the Polish Resistance were
produced in 1946, all of them in France.
The medal is maker marked (triangle - most
likely by Arthus Bertrand) and hallmarked
"Bronze".
