Class. 
First Type of the medal (1880 - 1921). 
The Medal was established in 1880 by King Carol I 
(at the time Domnitor of Romania) to be awarded 
to civil and military personnel, both Romanian or 
foreign, for long and faithful service to the 
Kingdom and the Crown of Romania.  
This is the rare 1st type of the medal, with the pre 
1921 Romanian Coat of Arms on the obverse side, 
that was issued prior and during WW1.
