Kingdom of Romania: WW1 Medal for Bravery,
Manhood and Loyalty with Swords, Bronze Class
(3rd Class).
The medal was instituted in 1903, in 3 classes, to
be awarded to the police (officers and other ranks)
and to civilians, for services related to preserving
or restoring of public order.
In 1916, it was amended with the addition of the
crossed swords on the suspender, and the medal
became a war decoration for bravery in the face
of the enemy.
This is the example that was awarded from 1916
until 1947.
